name of God Amen, I
First I give and bequeath all and every my messuages tenements cottages lands hereditaments and premises whatsoever with their and every of their appurtenances situate lying and being in Upper Slaughter in the said County of Gloucester and in the liberties and precincts thereof unto my brother Henry Collett and Robert Hanman both of Bourton-on-the-Water aforesaid gentleman and to their executors administrators and assigns for the term of five hundred years in trust that they or the survivor of them shall by leasing mortgaging or selling all or any part of the messuages or tenements lands and premises aforesaid raise money to pay and satisfy all my just debts Except what shall be owing upon my estate at Harford for which the same is mortgaged
And also all such legacies sums and funds of money as are herein after mentioned that is to say to my youngest son Thomas the sum of five hundred pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to him when he shall attain to the age of one and twenty years and in the meantime to pay to my said son Thomas for his necessary clothing and expenses the sum of seven pounds a year by two half yearly payments from the time of my decease
And also the sum of four hundred pounds of like lawful money of Great Britain to my daughter Sarah to be paid when she shall attain to the age of one and twenty years and in the meantime to pay unto my said daughter Sarah the sum of ten pounds a year by two half yearly payments from the time of my decease
And my will and meaning is that my said trustees shall out of the rents and profits of the premises aforesaid reimburse themselves all such reasonable charges and expenses as they shall be at in the Execution of the trust aforesaid
And also five pounds a piece for their pains and care in the trust aforesaid provided always and my will is that if my eldest son John when he shall attain to the age of one and twenty shall and do pay and satisfy such of my debts as shall then be unpaid and also pay the legacies and money before mentioned as it becomes due that then and in such case the terms and estate of five hundred years before given to my said trustees to ---- determine and be utterly void
And in such case I give and bequeath the said messuages tenements cottages lands and premises aforesaid with their and every of their appurtenances unto my son John and his heirs and assigns forever
Item I give and bequeath all that my messuage or tenement situate lying and being at Harford in the parish of Naunton in the County of Gloucester with all and every the closes grounds lands hereditaments and premises with the appurtenances unto my said son John and his heirs and assigns forever subject and liable to the payment of all such money as shall be due thereon
Item I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas the bed and bedstead with all the furniture thereto belonging in the chamber over the hall and a silver pint cup and one third part of all my brass and pewter
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah my best bed and bedstead with the worked curtains and vallens and all furniture thereto belonging and my best chest of drawers and one third part of my brass and pewter
And lastly all the rest and residue of my goods chattels cattle and real personal estate whatsoever I give and bequeath unto my said son John and make and appoint him whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made in witness whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifteenth day of April in the seventh year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King defender of the faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and thirty four
